MODERN LIVING IN THE RURAL LANDSCAPE
A slipped ground floor plan was designed to enable the occupants to maximise their engagement with their garden. Initial discussion about the daily lives of the clients, led to the creation of a series of protected external areas, filled with light in the morning, afternoon, and evening. Each internal space links to more than one of these outside space, where possible, using direct access, long and short distance views.
The ground floor incorporates a snug, and more formal living room, which can be separated when the ceiling height doors are closed, but part of the same flowing space when held open – a modern house which can be flexible to the needs of the family.
